Bradley S. Abrahamson, M.D.
Dr. Brad Abrahamson is Board Certified in Family Medicine and isAFM’s fellowship-trained Sports Medicine physician, treating injuries in all age groups and at all athletic levels. He graduated with honors and with distinction in research from SUNY-Stony Brook Medical School in New York. He then completed his General Surgery internship and 2 ½ additional years in Orthopedic Surgery. He added a full residency in Family Medicine and finally a Fellowship in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Abrahamson is from Fort Collins, and joined Associates in Family Medicine in January 2007. He enjoys practicing a broad spectrum of Family Medicine in addition to his Sports Medicine practice. He does a wide variety of procedures including gastrointestinal endoscopy, fracture care and reductions, musculoskeletal injections, musculoskeletal ultrasound, throwing bio-mechanics, gait evaluation, dermatology procedures, etc. He has been a team physician for many years.
Community service includes giving health-related talks in various forums, teaching the local Family Medicine residents on Sports Medicine topics, and service on various medical and Health Fitness Boards.
He is married to Lara Abrahamson, a family physician at our South office. They have two children. He is a USA Cycling certified coach and enjoys fly fishing and saxophone.
