I was born and raised in Northern California and I received my first Bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in Kinesiology. I enjoyed exploring California’s gorgeous and vast central coast and worked as a personal trainer as well as in the catering business before moving to Portland, OR on a whim as an adventurous young college graduate. In Portland, I followed my love for food, cooking and healthy eating and worked for Whole Foods Market in several different capacities. As the Catering Manager, Healthy Eating Educator, Demo Specialist, as well as a Buyer I was able to cook, teach about and share my love for nutrition and making great food. After doing this for a number of years, I realized that my true calling was to work in the healthcare field. A few years ago I moved out here to sunny Colorado to attend University of Colorado, Colorado Springs where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. I have been working as a nurse in Fort Collins since receiving my Nursing degree a few years ago and I thoroughly enjoy the ever-changing world of healthcare and the many things nurses can do. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, running, cooking, traveling and exploring Colorado.
