Lara E. Abrahamson, M.D.

Dr. Lara Abrahamson was born and raised in Long Island, New York. She received her medical degree from SUNY-Stony Brook and did residency training in Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She and her husband settled in his hometown of Fort Collins in 2003. Dr. Abrahamson worked at the Salud Family Health Center in Fort Collins for six years where she practiced full-scope family medicine, including the teaching of residents from the Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency. She joined Associates in Family Medicine in 2009.

Dr. Abrahamson continues to practice in all aspects of Family Medicine, including obstetrics, pediatrics, care of injuries, and the care of chronic disease. When not working, she spends most of her time running after son Shane and daughter Anika. She and her husband enjoy bicycling, cross-country skiing, gardening, and hope to have time to sail again some day.
