Melanie Vanhook, NP

Melanie grew up in Southern Colorado. She graduated from nursing school in 1997 and furthered her education at Graceland University in Missouri with a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2006. Melanie is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has participated in numerous community initiatives, such as: member of the Department of Human Services Child Protection Team, Key Lead for the Arkansas Valley Resource Center and was inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing.

Melanie has a wide range of experience in medicine as a previous Director of Health Services, nurse examiner for sexual assault cases, emergency room nurse, family medicine, urgent care, geriatrics and recently was a clinic manager of a walk-in clinic. Melanie is kind, compassionate and thoroughly enjoys taking care of her patients. She understands the challenges of juggling acute and chronic illness with daily life and thrives on delivering superior patient care while understanding the individual patient needs.

Currently living in Windsor, she is an avid Eagles Hockey fan and a proud wife and mother of two. She enjoys traveling, reading, teaching, dancing and watching her children participate in sporting events.
