Tadalafil (Cialis)

Cialis (Tadalafil) is a popular medication among men with erectile dysfunction, valued for its ability to deliver consistent, long-lasting effects.

Generic CialisEvery generic version of Cialis contains the same main ingredient, which is also the primary component of the original medication. Tadalafil belongs to the PDE5 inhibitor family, a group of compounds that enhance blood flow throughout the body. These substances work by relaxing the blood vessel walls in the penis, allowing a greater volume of blood to flow in. This process supports a strong and lasting erection, though natural arousal is still necessary; taking the medication alone will not induce an erection.

Generic for Cialis is a complete equivalent to the original drug, with the primary difference being its more affordable price. The composition of the generic is identical to the composition of original medication.

One of the most outstanding properties of Tadalafil is its utterly lasting action. It reaches incredible 36 hours, which is an absolute record amongst all preparations of this series. No other preparation does not stay even close to this result. You may take it once per two days. Accordingly, each generic of this remedy has the same duration of action.

The Results of FDA Trials

The first clinical trials of Tadalafil approved by the FDA involved the U.S. and five other countries, with a total of 4,000 participants. A 10 mg dose showed significant improvements in erectile function across all metrics. All U.S. trials demonstrated satisfactory improvements.

Subsequent international trials confirmed advancements in three key efficacy measures. The positive effects remained stable over time, and improvements were observed across participants with varying degrees of severity. These trials also included patients aged 59 and over with other medical conditions, and the outcomes were similarly positive.

The most recent studies, conducted in 2014, primarily focused on potential benefits in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition characterized by prostate enlargement. Participants took 5 mg of Tadalafil daily, which led to substantial improvement. Symptoms of BPH were significantly reduced over time.

Effectiveness in the ED treatment

Tadalafil has been studied in a great variety of men with different grades of severity and some other diseases (including diabetes and prostate cancer). The participants took a dosage of 10 mg each day. 77% of them showed durable action, reaching a peak duration of 36 hours. The improvement in erection was significant.

A lot depended on the dosage of Tadalafil. A dosage of 5mg allowed vaginal penetration for 57% of men. Higher doses increased this number: 10mg reached 77%, and 20 mg reached 85%. All cases provided enough time for proper sexual intercourse.

This medication can easily replace Sildenafil and Vardenafil. After administration, almost all men achieved an erection within 30 minutes or faster. The drug remained in the system for 24 hours.

The effectiveness of Tadalafil was durable and reliable. All men were able to achieve a firm and healthy erection that lasted until orgasm. The occurrence of adverse reactions was minimal, and their severity was moderate or low.

Tadalafil (Cialis) or Sildenafil (Viagra)?

Both drugs are designed to increase potency, improve male erectile function and belong to the group of type 5 phosphodiesterase inhibitors. If we make a comparison between Tadalafil and Sildenafil we get the following results:

  • Viagra is a standard dosage of Sildenafil 50 mg. Application – 1 tablet 40-60 minutes before copulation. The duration of erectile function lasts for 4-5 hours. The drug can cause many side-effects, the most common of them are facial flushing, shortness of breath, headache, and a change in color perception. The medicine cannot be combined with alcohol, before use it is not recommended to eat fatty, heavy foods;
  • Cialis – the recommended dosage of Tadalafil 20 mg. Application – 1 tablet 30-40 minutes before the expected intercourse. The effect after taking the medicine (the ability to have full sexual intercourse) lasts for 36 hours. Tadalafil is less likely to cause facial flushing, all other side-effects in frequency of occurrence are similar to Sildenafil. It should also be noted that this inexpensive analogue can be combined with small doses of alcohol. Moreover, the medicine is well absorbed regardless of the food consumed.

All PDE5 inhibitors act only if there is sexual arousal. Their task is to increase the blood supply to the cavernous bodies of penis due to which an erection occurs, but they do not have any effect on the strength of libido. The conclusion is that the effectiveness of Tadalafil is superior to the action of Sildenafil, and the cost of the drug is much lower than of the original product.

Dosages

You must strictly follow all recommendations and instructions from your physician. You are not an expert and should not alter your dosing regimen under any circumstances. Self-treatment is dangerous and can lead to severe health complications.

  1. This medication is available in tablet form as well as jelly. It should be taken orally with an adequate amount of water and can be taken with or without food. Fatty foods and certain fruit juices do not affect the onset of action, which generally begins within 15-20 minutes. It is recommended to take the medication at the same time each day. Do not break, melt, or chew the tablets; swallow them whole.
  2. The typical starting dose for most users is 10 mg. The maintenance dose is 20mg. In certain cases, such as for elderly patients or those with liver or kidney impairment, the initial dose may be adjusted to 5 mg or even 2.5 mg per day.
  3. The maximum dosage is 20mg per day, and this amount should never be exceeded, as doing so may lead to dangerous side effects and significant harm. Any increase in dose should only occur with your physician’s approval, typically if the current dose does not yield the desired results but is well tolerated by the patient.

You should also inform your physician if you experience any allergic reactions shortly after taking the medication, as this may indicate intolerance and a need to lower the dose. Tadalafil is available in 10, 20, 40, 60, and 80mg doses. Store it at room temperature, away from moisture, and do not share it with others.

Adverse Reactions

You should be aware that this medication may cause certain adverse reactions. Generally, its effect on the system is mild. Even if health complications occur, they are typically low or moderate in severity and brief in duration. These reactions are a natural response of the body to the presence of new substances and usually subside quickly.

However, severe side effects can occur due to improper use, such as overdosing, excessive alcohol consumption, or combining it with certain other medications. It is also essential to remember all contraindications. Many users overlook these warnings, leading to potentially dangerous outcomes. Under normal conditions, though, this medication is generally safe.

Here may occur such adverse reactions as:

  • Severe allergies of different origin;
  • Headache;
  • Pains in muscles;
  • Dyspepsia;
  • Back pains;
  • Reddening of the face;
  • Dizziness;
  • Uncontrolled heartbeat;
  • Pain in chest;
  • Complicated breathing;
  • Cold sweating;
  • Cases of fainting;
  • Nausea;
  • Increased nervousness and irritability;
  • Abnormal sweating;
  • Too frequent and sudden weakness;
  • Problems with digestion;
  • Priapism or prolonged erection, which lasts for 4 hours in a row or longer;
  • Visionary complications (including violated distinguishing amongst some colors and enhanced sensitiveness to the light).

There can also develop some other less common and severe adverse reactions. Under the condition, you experience abnormally serious and lasting effects, you should immediately turn for professional medical assistance. Do not delay. Any hesitation may induce even more severe health complications.
